Solution
Let Joey’s age at the end of the first year be = jJoey’s grade at the end of the first year = 402j =...
Let Joey’s age at the end of the first year be = j
Joey’s grade at the end of the first year = 40
2j = 40
Therefore, j = 20
Second Year:
Joey’s age = 20 + 1 = 21
Grade = 2(21) + (40/2) = 62
Third Year:
Joey’s age = 20 + 2 = 22
Grade = 2(22) + (62/2)
= 44 + 31 = 75
