Total sum of weight of the boys is
= 45 × 50 = 2250 kg
The average weight after the addition of 5 girls is
= 50 − 0.5 = 49.5...
Total sum of weight of the boys is
= 45 × 50 = 2250 kg
The average weight after the addition of 5 girls is
= 50 − 0.5 = 49.5 kg
Total sum of the weight of both boys and girls is
= 49.5 × (45 + 5)
= 49.5 × 50 = 247.5 kg
Total weight of 5 girls is
= 247.5 − 2250 = 225
Average weight of the girl students is
= 225/5 = 45 kg
