Let, the total number of students in the university be = N
Number of students in Arts faculty = 1049
23% of N = 1049
0.23N = 1049
N = 1049/0.23 = 4560.86
Therefore, N = 4560 (approximated)
Number of science students = 21% of N
= 0.21 × 4560 = 957.6
= 957 (approximated)
Number of Asian students studying science is = 6% of 957
= 0.06 × 957 = 57.42
= 57 (approximated)
