Given mean of 50 numbers = 30
⇒ sum of the numbers = 30 × 50 = 1500
Sum of wrong entries = 82 + 13 = 95...
Given mean of 50 numbers = 30
⇒ sum of the numbers = 30 × 50 = 1500
Sum of wrong entries = 82 + 13 = 95 ————> (1)
Sum of correct entries = 28 + 31 = 59 ————>(2)
Difference between (1) and (2) = 36
Sum of correct numbers = 1500 − 36 = 1464
Mean of correct numbers = 1464/50 = 29.28
